[Review] The Face Shop Blackhead Out White Clay Nose Pack

The Face Shop is a popular and well known Korean skincare and cosmetics brand, and recently I purchased a product from them. This is actually the first product that I have tried from the brand, and it's an alternative to the more traditional nose pore strips; this is a nose pack that has a clay formula, which means that the product is a little more complicated to use compared to nose strips.

As you can see the rube itself is a light baby blue colour and is fairly sleek and compact so it's quite travel friendly and isn't too bulky. The flip cap mechanism renders it easy to use and ensures that it's hygienic too. overall, the packaging is functional and easy to use, but the design is nothing too spectacular nor special.

Thankfully, the product comes in a protective plastic covering so you know that it hasn't been tampered with and guarantees it's a new product. The nose pack is quite cheap and you get 50g of product which is a fair amount as I only use this about once a month.

Information such as shelf life, bar code and ingredients are shown on the back of the packaging.

There's also a seal on the product which you can remove by unscrewing the cap and peeling off the silver foil.

It smells quite artificial and sweet, though the scent is not overpowering and will fade away after a minute or two.

The product itself is white and very viscous. It is hard to spread the product around your nose thus it may take a minute or two to make sure that you have spread the nose pack evenly.

To apply the nose pack, I squeeze some product out from the tube and then i use my fingers to apply and spread it around my nose. An advantage of using a nose pack rather than nose strips is that you can adjust the shape of the nose pack by spreading it in the desired areas.

After roughly five to ten minutes, the nose pack hardens and you can pick at the edges to peel it off. It can take some time to peel off all of the product as you may not necessarily be able to peel off the whole pack in one go which is slightly annoying. After removal, my nose feels smoother and most of the oil and dirt is stripped away, and my nose is matte afterwards. Sadly, oil production continues the day afterwards though. >.<

Because this is the first product of this type that I have ever tried, I am not sure about how effective it is nor how it compares with other brands, but I think it does a decent job as it removes most of my blackheads and whiteheads!
